Look at our garden grow!

Our plants are growing! We discovered sons potatoes and radishes coming out of the ground!! It was very exciting! 

 

 

 

 

Sport

We had fun running in relays in sport on Tuesday. We have been trying really hard to get better at throwing, catching and bouncing. Check us out! 

 

 

Scones & Jam!

We loved making scones yesterday. We finally got to try our delicious strawberry jam too! It was yummy afternoon at school. 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Making jam

We made some beautiful strawberry jam today. We can't wait to try it later on in the week with our scones that we are going to make.

Piggy's visit

Piggy the Bendigo Bank mascot came to visit Corpus Christ at assembly this morning. The Preps had a surprise visit and cuddle!

 

Measurement in Maths

This week we were learning about measurement. We measured how tall we were. We discovered that Sebastian D was the tallest and Bamlak was the shortest. 

 

Going to church

We celebrated Mass this morning. We were excited to visit Father John. We sang songs and responded to prayers. Zac, Stella, Izzie and Eamon did a fabulous job of taking the offertory to Father John. Thank you to the mums who came to celebrate with us. 

 

Literacy

Zac was learning how to find words to make a sentence. Well done Zac!

Sophie and Sebastian F were learning how to make funny sentences. They needed to make sure there was a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end. They sure were funny! 

 

 

Our plants are growing!

We visited the vegetable garden today to check out the growth of our plants. They have grown heaps, especially the spring onions, potatoes and snow peas. 

 

 

 

 

 

Monday learning

James did some amazing work during learning centres this morning. James was working with funny sentences and correctly included a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end of the sentence. His sentences were really funny!

Maths - Counting on!

The focus in maths this week has been Addition. The students have been learning how to add two collections of objects together using blocks and animals. We also learnt some fabulous maths games which helped us to count on from the bigger number. They were really fun! 

 

 

Learning Centre Fun!

The Preps have been working hard during Literacy centres this week. Jemima was using magnetic letters to make words and sentences. Anna, Bamlak, Mason and Austin were busy sorting upper and lowercase letters. Harper was an expert at identifying Fiction and Non-Fiction books.

 

 

 

 

Prep Assembly

The Preps presented a beautiful tribute to their Mothers' at Assembly yesterday. Well done to Jemima, Keagan, Sebastian D, Dheeya and Jennifer for reading their prayers in front of the whole school! 

 

 

Gardening

Our seedlings have begun to grow! It's very exciting. We planted snow peas, radishes, flowers and potatoes. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Farm Visit

We had a blast on our Excursion to Animal Land! We rode a horse, milked a cow, fed pigs and goats, had a tractor ride, planted seedlings and held some baby animals. Here are a few photos of our time on the farm. Thanks to all the mums who helped out on the day.
